IC-RFA (Impedance-Controlled Radiofrequency Ablation) is a system that automatically interrupts energy delivery based on real-time impedance values.
This approach helps prevent overheating and enables the delivery of appropriate RF energy across a wide range of vessel diameters. It is used in conjunction with the VENISTAR catheter for varicose vein treatment.
The system supports connection to a cooling system that lowers the internal catheter temperature to minimize thermal injury. The cooling system effectively removes residual heat, reduces carbonization, and provides an optimal environment for stable and reliable IC-RFA performance.
