Radiofrequency ablation electrode for vein treatment

VENISTAR

VENISTAR eliminates varicose veins through a true radiofrequency ablation approach that directly delivers RF energy to the vessel wall, rather than relying on conductive heating. By employing IC-RFA (Impedance-Controlled Radiofrequency Ablation), the system automatically modulates and interrupts energy delivery based on real-time impedance values, enabling a controlled and safe procedural workflow. 

Features

  • Two catheter lengths, 65 cm and 90 cm, are available, both featuring a 7 cm active tip.
  • When the ablated vessel comes into contact with the VENISTAR coil or when bubbling occurs on the vessel surface, the impedance of the RF current increases rapidly.
  • In response to these impedance changes, IC-RFA automatically operates to prevent overheating, ensuring stable and appropriate RF energy delivery across veins of varying diameters.
  • An integrated cooling system reduces the internal catheter temperature to minimize thermal injury. This system effectively dissipates residual heat after the procedure, minimizes carbonization, and supports consistent and reliable IC-RFA performance.
